Stormwater caps. These cap off pipework from vermin, objects and leakages. The caps come as a push-on cap which is glued in position, and a threaded cap. Threaded caps are not BSP and require matching fittings. Threaded caps are used for inspection and access to the pipework.
Stormwater pipe and fittings are designed to drain stormwater i.e. rainwater. They are made from PVC-U, and come in sizes from 75mm to 375mm. 90mm is most commonly used in domestic applications.
Gutter and downpipes are also part of the stormwater drainage system and the range include fittings that adapt downpipes to the stormwater system. The stormwater range has everything needed to divert water to your legal point of discharge.
All 90mm fittings also fit to 90mm slotted pipe.
N.B. all '90 degree' angled fittings are traditionally maybe noted/sold as "90 degree" but are, in fact, manufactured at 85-88 degrees , to allow for drainage purposes.
PVC pipe is the world’s most popular medium for conveyance of fluids. PVC has well recognised advantages of immunity to corrosion, chemical and micro-/macro-biological resistance, hydraulic capacity, ease of handling and installation together with toughness and flexibility.
Stormwater pipes and fittings are made from PVC-U. The pipe is rigid and comes in 6mt lengths.
The pipe is joined with it's mating fitting using solvent cement. See installation guide for PVC-U. The jointing system in known as solvent cement joints(SCJ).
The joints require a setting time of 24 hours to gain full mechanical strength.
This system can be used above-ground and underground. It can be exposed to sunlight, but it is not recommended over a long term.
Performance:-
Typically temperature ranging between 0Â ° to 50Â °C.
They also comply with AS/NZS 1254.
