Website Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the PlumbersHQ website and to purchases made through it. By using this site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1) Who we are

PlumbersHQ (“we”, “us”, “our”) supplies plumbing products and related services in Australia.

2) Using this website

You must not misuse the site (for example: introduce malware, interfere with security or performance, or attempt unauthorised access). We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe there’s misuse.

3) Product information, availability & errors

We take care to keep product details, pricing and availability accurate and up to date. Sometimes mistakes happen (e.g. typographical, system or supplier-feed errors).

  • If we discover a material error after you place an order, we’ll contact you promptly with the correct details. You can choose to proceed at the correct price/specification or cancel for a full refund.
  • We may reasonably decline or cancel an order where there is a genuine pricing/description error, stock unavailability, or suspected fraud.
  • Nothing in this clause allows misleading pricing or overrides your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). We always act reasonably and in good faith.

4) Prices, taxes & payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and, unless stated otherwise, include GST. Delivery charges (if any) are shown before you pay. The total payable is made clear before checkout.

5) Order acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept when we dispatch the goods and send a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept, we’ll let you know and refund any amounts paid.

6) Shipping & delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates. We take reasonable steps to meet them, but delays can occur (courier issues, unusual demand, events outside our control). If a delay becomes unreasonable, you may have rights under the ACL (see section 8).

7) Risk & title

Title passes on full payment. Risk passes on delivery to the address you provide (or on collection, if selected).

8) Australian Consumer Law – your guarantees

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major. We will assist you directly and may coordinate with the manufacturer where appropriate.

Change-of-mind returns (store policy)

Separate from the ACL, we may offer change-of-mind returns. See our Refunds & Returns Policy. Any store policy is in addition to your ACL rights, not instead of them.

9) Warranties & manufacturer support

Many products include manufacturer warranties. These are additional promises and do not replace your ACL rights. For installed products, a manufacturer warranty specialist may attend on site to assess and repair as required—we’ll help coordinate this.

10) Promotions & discount codes

Promotions run for the stated time only and may exclude certain products. Codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be applied retrospectively or combined unless stated.

11) Accounts

Keep your login details confidential and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use. We may close or suspend accounts used in breach of these Terms.

12) Intellectual property

All site content (including text, images and logos) is owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce it without permission, except as allowed by law.

13) Third-party links

Links may point to third-party sites we don’t control. We’re not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

14) Liability (read with section 8)

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable rights or remedies under the ACL. To the extent permitted by law, and except for liability that cannot be limited or excluded, our liability for claims relating to the site or goods is limited to the amount paid for the relevant goods or services or, for services, to resupplying the services. This does not limit liability for personal injury or where the ACL provides otherwise.

15) Unfair contract terms

We aim to keep these Terms fair and reasonable and do not rely on unfair contract terms in standard-form consumer or small-business contracts.

16) Privacy

Please see our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use and disclose personal information.

17) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the site at the time you order will apply to that order.

18) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
